高級職員布魯諾在一家造紙廠辛勤工作，受到雇主和股東一致稱贊。15年后的一天，因工廠外遷，他被解雇。40來歲的布魯諾自認有技術，年紀也不大，不怕找不到稱心工作。然而，3年過去，他仍處于勞務市場門外，頓時醒悟面臨著你死我活的無情戰場，只有奮力自救才能保持自己和家庭的生活水平，逃脫被淘汰命運。布魯諾決定殺死自己的競爭者，拼死打贏這場戰爭…… amily man Bruno has been laid off from his job with a paper company after 15 years faithful service, a victim of profit-motivated ‘efficiency' cuts. Watching a promo video for another company, he's convinced he could do a much better job than the boss, if only there was a vacancy. Still unemployed after two years, as money gets tighter and his patriarchal pride takes a battering, Bruno decides to act. In his determination to regain his rightful place in the paper manufacturing industry, he realises that should an appropriate job become available he'd have a far better chance if he could eliminate the other leading candidates.
